It will reaffirm your faith in humanity, which has probably been destroyed after watching this piece of trash. It's beyond fantastic and very very funny. (Not to mention Rachel and Maggie from Rachel's Holiday and Angels by association) THOSE WHO HAVE SEEN THE TV ADAPTATION AND HATED IT: Please, please, PLEASE read the book. It's beyond awful and will make you sad for the "real" Claire Walsh. THOSE WHO HAVE READ THE BOOK AND LOVED IT: For Christ's sake don't watch this. The TV has a completely different ending, and a completely different plot. If you have already read The Da Vinci Code, you can always go back and read the first Robert Langdon book now. However, as many of us, thriller book readers enjoy reading our series in order, I do recommend picking them starting from Angels & Demons. Dan Brown is an author who for most of us doesn’t need an introduction. ![]() 6/26/2023 0 Comments Undead and uneasy![]() The early chapters introduce Betsy, who has become the Queen of the Vampires through odd circumstances, and her circle of friends/roommates. ![]() This third novel of the series has thirty-five chapters and, as usual, is told from the point of view of Betsy (first-person narrative). ![]() The two prologues are related because Laura is Betsy's half-sister, sharing the same father the not-very-nice Antonia is Betsy's stepmother. The second prologue introduces the recently turned vampire Betsy Taylor, the heroine of the Undead series of paranormal romance novels, as she crashes a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous, where she hopes to learn techniques to control her thirst for blood. ![]() Ironically, Laura is adopted by a Presbyterian minister and his wife, the Goodmans. The devil's daughter, Laura, was given up for adoption by her biological mother, Antonia, for whom the possession was like a fugue state. The first prologue relates how the devil, out of boredom, possessed a "not very nice" woman and gave birth to a daughter however, the devil soon returned to Hell, since she preferred it to living with a newborn.
